Over January-October 2019, the Main Directorate of the STS in Mykolayiv region ensured 94.4 million UAH of the real estate tax – this is 13.8 million UAH more than in the corresponding period of 2018 due to purposeful work aimed at identifying the object of taxation of the real estate tax other than land plot (so-called the “real estate tax”) and the amount of payable tax.
Acting Deputy Commissioner of Main Directorate of the STS in Zaporizhzhia region Dmytro Prokofiev stated that the undisputed leaders in payment of the real estate tax are the owners of the real estate - legal entities whose contribution to the local budgets of Mykolaiv region over the 10 months of 2019 has amounted 68.8 million UAH. Individuals - property owners transferred 25.6 million UAH of the real estate tax to the local treasury of the region.
“In the context of decentralization of power, taxes paid to the local budgets are a source of funding for the social sector, a financial basis for infrastructure development, the ability to use budget revenues for infrastructure development and the tool for implementation of effective regional development projects.” – stated Dmytro Prokofiev.
