13.8 billion UAH of the land tax was paid in four months for community development

Local budgets received 13.8 billion UAH of the land tax payments during January – April 2025. Payers directed 13.9% or 1.6 billion UAH more to development of their communities than in the corresponding period last year. Revenues amounted to almost 12.2 billion UAH in January – April 2024. 

Among the leaders in tax payment:

Dnipropetrovsk region – 2.4 billion UAH,

Kyiv city – 2.1 billion UAH,

Odessa region – 1.2 billion UAH,

Lviv region – 955.9 million UAH. 

Reminder! Land tax is obligatory payment as a part of the property tax. It includes land tax or rent for land plots owned by state and municipal authorities.  

According to norms of the Tax Code of Ukraine, land owners and land users pay for land from the date of state registration of ownership or right to use the land plot.  

In case of termination of such rights, the land tax is paid for actual period of land ownership or use in the current year.
