Volume of the VAT refunds has increased by a third since the beginning of year compared to the last year. 42.4 billion UAH was refunded in the first quarter. Tax Service is working to maintain positive tendency. This was stated by Head of the State Tax Service Ruslan Kravchenko during the international forum "Industrial Evolution. Production powers the economy".

The large-scale discussion brought together a large number of representatives of business, government, local authorities from all over Ukraine, investors, bankers and international partners.

Ruslan Kravchenko thanked the business for their work.

"Because even after such massive attacks as the last night, they continue to work, create working places and pay taxes. And this is worthy of respect. It is thanks to every payer that we have exceeded revenue plan by 36 billion UAH in the first quarter" – he said.

Head of the State Tax Service also noted that effective and high-quality communication with business has been his priority since the first days of being on the Head’s office.

"I often heard that business has to solve problems related to tax questions on their own. If a tax invoice is blocked, figure out what to do. If you get on the list of risky ones, you can be there for years, no one will tell you algorithm for further actions" – he added.

Due to the dialogue and list of clear measures, a number of blocked tax invoices has almost halved since the beginning of year. Today, it reaches 0.37%. The number of enterprises that were classified as risky has decreased by 11.4 thousand.

They also talked about the “White Business Club” and possibility that as many companies as possible could join it – all those who work honestly and pay taxes conscientiously.

"Legislative changes were touched upon. Business is right when it complains that this complicates work. As sometimes there is not enough time to keep up with such a stream of changes. Clarity and predictability are what should contribute to growth" – added Ruslan Kravchenko.
