Serhii Verlanov: the Tax service will ensure fulfilment of determined budget revenue targets

Results of work the Tax service for 2019, main tasks for the current year and near future were discussed today during a hardware meeting of the STS leadership and its territorial bodies.

“Last year was difficult, however, we completed it with over-fulfillment of the planned targets, and as follows the budget additionally received 3.8 billion UAH. All regions have made a significant step towards positive dynamics in securing budget revenues over the last four months of 2019. Today time dictates new challenges but I believe that we have every opportunity not only to accomplish the determined tasks for the Tax service for 2020, but also to meet them” – emphasized Chairman of the STS Serhii Verlanov.

Chairman of the Tax service also emphasized the importance of concentrating each head of territorial bodies on achieving the proper results and ensuring timely and complete payment of taxes and fees.

State tax service will continue to improve system of analysis regarding the reporting submitted by business entities for identifying risky features: atypical operations, insufficient number of employees, persistent unprofitable activities, etc.

In addition, the STS will strengthen the control over payment of the excise tax on goods produced in Ukraine, particularly alcohol beverages. Also, the State tax service will take measures to control compliance with the labor laws by employers in order to increase the efficiency of administration of the personal income taxes and fees. First of all, this will be done for the legalization of hired labor and the un-shadowing of the payroll. For this purpose, the tax specialists jointly with the local self-government authorities will intensify work with heads of risky enterprises, as well as analyze revenues of the personal income tax and levy, taking into account the sectoral peculiarities of the regions.
