Serhii Verlanov: the STS software solutions will be provided and maintained free of charge
Today on the 31st of October, 2019 Chairman of the STS Serhii Verlanov visited forum “Attractive Ukraine: Checkpoint 2019” where real steps on resumption of lending were discussed and generated. Favorable tax policy and tax administration will help to strengthen businesses financially and increase their rank as borrowers. As follows, this will increase the access to bank loans.
Chairman of the STS talked about the first steps and prospects of reforming the Tax service aimed at increase of the voluntary nature for payment of taxes. According to Serhii Verlanov, in order to achieve this goal, the STS will build tax services, instead of forcefully exerting pressure on business and will increase the level of analytical work to identify risky operations.
“This will significantly reduce the number of audits. Currently, we conduct 5000 scheduled and 15000 unscheduled audits annually. Refocus on intellectual work will only check risk taxpayers. As a result, the percentage of payment by the results of audits will increase from the current 10-15% to 40%. Also, we plan to reduce the number of court cases. We will sue the taxpayers only if there is an “iron” evidence base” – said Serhii Verlanov.
According to Chairman of the STS, the tax service has already started a staff “reloading” - competitions have been announced for replacing 82 vacant posts at the STS Large taxpayers office.
“One of the major challenges for us today is to enforce the laws that introduce new RCO rules. From January 1, 2020 we have to provide a free of charge software RCO that will also be free of charge and in service for all testers. This is a direct rule of the law. And now we are working to fulfill this requirement” – noted Serhii Verlanov.
