Residents of Donetsk region transferred 97.1 million UAH of military levy to the budget in 2019 – this is 17% more than for corresponding period of 2018. Only in December the amount of 63.3 million UAH of the tax was earmarked for the support of army.
Work of the tax authorities of Donetsk region regarding the legalization of labor market and counteracting the payment of unofficial wages is an important source for filling the state treasury. Employers who accrue income in the form of wages in favor of the taxpayer are responsible for charges to the budget. Positive dynamics of the military levy revenue growth is a confirmation of the fact that more and more employers refuse to pay wages in envelopes and register employment officially.
Military levy is fully transferred to the state budget. Leaders in paying this levy are Mariupol city whose citizens transferred 182.4 million UAH to the state treasury; Pokrovsk city whose citizens transferred 80.6 million UAH and Slavyansk district whose citizens transferred 71.7 million UAH.
Main Directorate of the STS in Donetsk region emphasizes that the military levy is every citizen’s contribution to strengthening the defense capability of Ukrainian army and establishing peace in our country.
