Letters from the State Tax Service: almost 400 Ukrainians brought their activities out of the shadows due to clarifications from the Tax Service in May

Due to the tax authorities’ clarifications in May, almost 400 Ukrainians registered as individuals-entrepreneurs and thereby brought their activities out of the shadows. In total, 3 thousand taxpayers received letters from the State Tax Service asking them to explain origin of their funds. Purpose of the letters is explanatory.

All information is processed by territorial bodies of the State Tax Service. According to the processing results, 391 persons were registered as individuals-entrepreneurs. Only 7 have administrative protocols compiled and sent to court. And this is confirmation that the dialogue with business is working.

More than 11 thousand people received 256.6 thousand money transfers in March – April of this year. Their total amount is more than 498.2 million UAH. This information is obtained from the Data accounting system of registrars of settlement operations.

For example, one of the individuals in April received 111 payments totaling over 644.8 thousand UAH, another received 1 065 payments totaling more than 375.7 thousand UAH.

Currently, the State Tax Service is preparing another 700 letters to those taxpayers who are likely to be conducting business activities without state registration.

Most payers received a small number of transfers for small amounts, so this information is being accumulated for further analysis and use in implementing tax control measures.

In addition, employees of the State Tax Service are already processing information from the RRO Data accounting system for May, so such explanatory work will be ongoing.
