Ruslan Kravchenko: Systemic changes and implementation of effective mechanisms require open dialogue with the IT business

Residents of the Diia City paid 16.8 billion UAH of taxes to the budget last year. This year, they have already declared more than 3 billion UAH of the income tax.

This was stated by Head of the State Tax Service Ruslan Kravchenko during the meeting with representatives of the Diia.City United. This is a business association that unites product technology companies of the Diia.City residents. 

"We had a productive and frank conversation about real requests and problems that concern the IT business. Such dialogue should be constant in order to remove all obstacles that hinder systemic changes" – noted Ruslan Kravchenko.

Participants, during event, discussed the most relevant topics: 

- taxation of virtual assets is the first step towards regulating the crypto market. It is necessary to ensure legal certainty, protect rights of market participants, promote development of innovative technologies and attract investment;

- taxation of income received through the online platforms. This is a systematic construction of a mechanism for controlling product sales and services on the Internet. At the same time, it is not about providing the State Tax Service with automatic access to bank accounts of individuals;

- VAT taxation of the IT services. Complex question that requires a comprehensive solution.

"State Tax Service is open to constructive cooperation and implementation of effective mechanisms that will increase business confidence towards the Tax Service" – emphasized Ruslan Kravchenko.
