The STS specialists will master the management of public finances

The ten-month “Public finance management” training program has begun based on Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) with the support of the Governments of Sweden and Germany.

The program was opened with participation of the Honorable Ambassador of Sweden to Ukraine Tobias Tyberh and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine Konstiantyn Vashchenko. 

As a result of competitive selection of over 300 applications, more than 60 persons became participants of the training program, including representatives of the Strategic Development and International Cooperation Department, Revenue and Risk Transaction Monitoring Department of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, State Tax Administration in Kyiv, regional state administrations and other ministries and state bodies, as well as teachers of higher education institutions.

Purpose of the program is to prepare professional and motivated public finance professionals who will study the basics of public policy, quantitative and qualitative methods of policy analysis, gender-oriented budgeting, features of budgetary policy, budget process and international taxation, cooperation with international financial organizations and project management.

The training program will help to create a powerful community of like-minded professionals with shared values and beliefs that will consciously, purposefully and dynamically develop our country. After all, for the sake of transformations in Ukraine, it is extremely important to pay attention to the professional development of decent and professional civil servants who embody the changes that are so needed in society.
