Greetings of the STS Chairman Serhii Verlanov on the Day of Defender of Ukraine

Dear military! 

I sincerely congratulate you on the Day of Defender of Ukraine! Today, we honor those who courageously and with honor defended and continue to defend our country from enemies, those who are able to hold both weapons and happiness of their close people. Service to Ukraine is more than a profession. This is a great love for the Motherland, devotion and courage. This is a celebration for everyone who has given their knowledge, strength and life to the defense of our country.

No wonder that the Defender’s Day coincides with the Day of the Ukrainian Cossacks and the Protection of the Holy Mother. These holidays are inextricably connected because the Mother of God is the patron saint and patroness of our Cossacks. To the fate of their descendants - the modern military faced difficult times. Again our Motherland needs your courage and dedication. But just like our glorious ancestors, with dignity you defend the independence of our Ukraine.

Please accept my sincere congratulations! Thanks to you, we have the opportunity to work, build our country and the right to be Ukrainian!

May your life be illuminated by the glory of the victories of the Ukrainian army, the strength and power of the Ukrainian arms, the love and devotion to Ukraine. I wish you courage and strength of spirit, energy, optimism, well-being, good health and reliable rear!
