Taxpayers of Carpathian region paid 1.4 billion UAH of rent for subsoil use for the extraction of minerals, oil, gas and the use of forest, water, subsoil and radio frequency resources during January – November 2020. This was reported by Main Directorate of the STS in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Of the total amount, the state budget received 1.3 billion UAH of rent payments. Local budgets received 138.5 million UAH.
The biggest amount of rent payments was transferred by payers for the subsoil use for the extraction of hydrocarbons (oil, gas and gas condensate) who paid 1.3 billion UAH. To date, there are 26 payers who pay rent for the subsoil use for the extraction of hydrocarbons in Carpathian region.
89.9 million UAH was received from payers for the subsoil use (sand-gravel mixture, sand, clay, loam and groundwater and mineral water) and special water use. Rent for the subsoil use and special water use in Carpathian region is paid by 202 payers and 288 legal entities.
Forestry enterprises of the region and forest users, of which 34 business entities are registered in Carpathian region, transferred 48.6 million UAH of rent to the budget.
The remaining 358.5 thousand UAH was paid to the budget by 44 payers for the use of radio frequency resource of Ukraine.
Main Directorate of the STS in Ivano-Frankivsk region emphasized that rent for the use of nature stimulates the integrated, rational use of natural resources, as well as ensures balanced distribution of funds received from rent for natural resources between the state and local budgets.
