Nearly 11.2 billion UAH of the personal income tax was transferred by the taxpayers of Donetsk region to the consolidated budget of Ukraine over January-November 2019. Tax increase for the respective period 2018 was 23% or almost 2.1 billion UAH.
Main Directorate of the STS in Donetsk region reminds citizens about the opportunity to obtain the tax rebate.
If in 2018 you paid for education, insured yourself or your family members, paid interest on a mortgage home loan or incurred expenses related to vehicle refurbishment, etc. – you can recover some of the funds that was paid to the budget in the form of the personal income tax during the reporting year (the full list of expenses allowed for the tax rebate is defined in Paragraph 166.3 Article 166 of the Tax Code, with current edition can be found on the website of the State Tax Service of Ukraine by the following link: https://tax.gov.ua/diyalnist-/zakonodavstvo- pro-diyalnis / codes / 63224.html).
Citizen who wishes to obtain the tax rebate based on the results of the reporting year 2018 must file an annual tax declaration to the controlling authority at the place of their tax address by the 31st of December, 2019.
It should be reminded that if the taxpayer has not used the right to obtain the tax rebate as a result of the reporting tax year, then this right is not transferred to the subsequent tax years.
