Main Directorate of the STS in Rivne region informs that employers of Rivne region have paid more than 4.4 billion UAH of the single social contribution to the compulsory state social insurance. The growth rate of the SSC payments exceeded level of the last year’s revenues by 15% - this is 660 million UAH.
The growth of revenues from entrepreneurship in Rivne region also indicates the increase in the number of taxpayers of single social contribution. As of the 1st of November 2019, there are 42672 taxpayers.
According to Deputy head of the Main Directorate of the STS in Rivne region Nadiia Druziuk, the increase of the SSC revenues was done due to the integrity of the taxpayers and quality tax administration, service for the taxpayers, as well as purposeful work with employers aimed at increase in the level of wages for employees and taken measures to un-shadow incomes and legalization of employment.
Avoiding formal employment, paying wages “in envelopes”, the employer actually deprives the employee of the protection of labor rights. These include the right to basic and additional leave, payment of sick leave, receive assistance in the case of an accident at work comply with the statutory length of working time, receive unemployment benefits depending on length of service and many others.
And the most importantly - due to non-payment of a single social contribution and taxes, employees lose their length of service and retirement pension, due to disability and in other cases stipulated by the legislation, since the pension will be assigned only from the officially accrued wage.
