General fund of the state budget received 169.4 billion UAH of taxes and levies controlled by the State Tax Service in March. Plan was fulfilled by 101.9%. This was informed by acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnaukh on the Facebook page.
Additionally, 3.1 billion UAH was received by the budget. Lesya Karnaukh noted that the beginning of year turned out to be extremely difficult – russian attacks, lack of heat and destroyed enterprises. All this could not but affect tax revenues.
“We persevered, changed dynamics over the quarter. Constant dialogue with business, prompt response to its requests, strengthening counteraction against shadow, services improvement – all this in combination gave results” – Lesya Karnaukh emphasized.
Revenues for March exceeded the last year’s figure by 9.3 billion UAH (+5.8%).
Key indicators:
- personal income tax:
33.5 billion UAH (105.0% fulfillment of the plan);
- corporate income tax:
89.1 billion UAH (107.7% fulfillment of the plan);
- excise tax on imported and manufactured products:
16.2 billion UAH (106.4% fulfillment of the plan).
Despite the positive dynamics, there are objective reasons that affect fulfillment of other indicators, particularly the VAT revenues.
Over-fulfillment allowed to significantly improve situation for the quarter.
For three months of this year, fulfillment of general fund of the state budget is 100.6%. Revenues to general fund amounted to 341.9 billion UAH. This is 2.1 billion UAH higher than the planned indicators.
“We are aware that working in conditions of the full-scale war, developing business and paying taxes is extremely difficult. We are grateful to everyone who clearly understands that paying taxes in the war conditions is about life of the country, its protection and defense” – emphasized acting Head of the State Tax Service.
She noted that the State Tax Service has already reduced number of audits and shifted its focus to analytical work and risk-based approach. The Service is developing electronic services, simplifying administrative processes and reducing number of cases of blocking tax invoices. Special attention is paid to the digitalization of processes.
According to Lesya Karnaukh, the Tax Service is systematically changing interaction philosophy with the taxpayers, focusing on openness and partnership.
