State Tax Service of Ukraine has ensured accessibility of 100% of consultations and services provided at the Taxpayer Service Centers for people with hearing impairments.
Sign language translation service has been introduced in all the Taxpayer Service Centers in Ukraine, which allows visitors with hearing impairments to receive any consultation or service on equal terms with other taxpayers.
In order to take into account needs of all visitors, including people with hearing impairments, the Taxpayer Service Centers:
- have provided technical capabilities for the real-time sign language translation;
- have implemented tactile and visual accessibility elements;
- have provided employees of the Taxpayer Service Centers with appropriate training in inclusive and barrier-free communication.
At the Taxpayer Service Centers, visitors can use full range of services, including administrative services, consultations, electronic trust services, submit tax declarations, correspondence regarding administrative services, as well as other documents (citizen appeals, requests for public information, etc.).
Each service from obtaining certificate to consultation is equally accessible to all visitors without exception.
The Taxpayer Service Centers are also equipped with electronic queue, convenient waiting areas, possibility of prior registration and clear navigation.
This is important step in implementing principles of the barrier-free access, equal access to public services and non-discrimination.
