Real estate tax: Kyiv and region are the leaders – more than 30% of payment

Property owners have paid 7.7 billion UAH of the real estate tax other than land plot since the beginning of year. This is + 20.9% (1.3 billion UAH) compared to the same period last year.

This figure was 6.4 billion in January – July 2024.

More than 30% of the total payment amount was received by local budgets of the Kyiv city and its region:

Kyiv – 1.58 billion UAH,

Kyiv region – 0.78 billion UAH.

Also among the leaders:

Dnipropetrovsk region – 0.77 billion UAH,

Odesa region – 0.75 billion UAH.

Real estate tax is paid by individuals – owners of:

- apartments with area of ​​​​more than 60 square meters;

- houses with area of ​​​​​​​​more than 120 square meters;

- other various types of housing, including their shares, of ​​​​more than 180 square meters.

In 2025, the tax is paid by citizens for the reporting year 2024.

Important: if there are any discrepancies regarding amount of accrued tax, it is possible to contact the Taxpayer Service Centers for reconciliation.

It is possible to view generated tax notifications-decisions in the Electronic cabinet, if a person has electronic key or by using the mobile application "My Tax Service".

In case of discrepancies regarding the accrued amount, contact the Taxpayer Service Centers and conduct a reconciliation.
