Ruslan Kravchenko: State Tax Service records new wave of fake mailings on behalf of the Tax Service

We record new wave of mass distribution of fake mails allegedly from the State Tax Service. This is second such wave in the past week. This was informed by Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko in the Telegram channel. 

“We have already received signals about this from taxpayers in a number of regions. We emphasize!!! State Tax Service has nothing to do with such mailing! Attachments in letters contain malicious software that is activated after opening the PDF file. After transition, software is launched that provides remote access to your computer to attackers” – he stated.

All official State Tax Service’s email addresses must contain domain name "tax.gov.ua" after the symbol "@".

Specialists of the State Tax Service advise not to open attachments in suspicious messages. “If you have doubts about origin of the letter, contact the Tax Service directly” – added Ruslan Kravchenko.
