58 thousand reports were submitted on controlled foreign companies: what is registration geography of controlled foreign companies and how much tax will they pay?

17 173 controllers submitted 58 220 Reports on controlled foreign companies for 2022-2024 according to operational data. Of these, 19 162 reports were submitted for the reporting year 2024.

98% of all reports were submitted by individuals and 2% by legal entities.

Geography of registration countries of controlled foreign companies: 

- Republic of Poland – 23%

- Republic of Cyprus – 10%,

- United States of America – 10%

- United Kingdom – 10%

- Republic of Estonia – 9%

- other countries – 38 %.  

Amount of tax liabilities determined by controllers of controlled foreign companies for 2022-2024 is 4.9 billion UAH, including 2.9 billion UAH for 2024.

In case of errors being detected, taxpayers may exercise the self-correction right, as provided for in Sub-paragraph 69.38 Paragraph 69 Sub-section 10 Section XX "Transitional Provisions" of the Code.

Timely and complete submission of reports on controlled foreign companies is important contribution to formation of revenue part of the budget and ensuring economic stability of the state.
