STS carefully checks facts of possible violations in the retail trade of excisable products

State Tax Service constantly monitors information from external sources (including posted on the Internet, social networks Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, etc.), as well as carefully checks facts of possible violations in the retail trade of excisable products (alcoholic beverages and tobacco products), set out in appeals of executive bodies, the Government, citizens and Associations of legal producers of alcohol and tobacco products.

According to the information provided by the Association of Legal Alcohol Producers and Ukrainian Association of Tobacco Producers “Ukrtyutyun”, it has been established that the counterfeit excisable products are sold in almost 2 thousand business facilities (places of spontaneous trade) located in almost all regions of Ukraine where trade of the counterfeit excisable products (including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products) is carried out.

Subordinate structural units of the STS organized and conducted inspections and actual audits of all such trading facilities during the year. As a result of such audits, the seizure of excisable products in the amount of 12 million UAH was initiated, fines (financial sanctions) in the amount of almost 6 million UAH were applied; 396 citizens who sold alcoholic and tobacco products without permissive documents (licenses) and in places not provided for such trade were brought to administrative liability.

In case of establishing cases of the excisable product trade in violation of Ukrainian legislation, please immediately inform the State Tax Service of Ukraine to take control and verification measures.

For comprehensive and high-quality consideration of appeals, please indicate: the business entity’s address, its name (title), type of purchased excisable products (with the counterfeit signs and / or absence of excise stamps) with supporting documents (if any) or any other information that can be used in carrying out control and verification measures.
