STS officials detected more than 10 thousand bottles with vodka pasted with forged excise tax stamps

State tax service of Ukraine pays considerable attention to compliance with the rules regarding the turnover of excisable goods by business entities.

Thus, on the 10^th of February 2020, employees of the Main Directorate of the STS in Kyiv conducted an actual audit at the warehouses of one wholesale distributor of alcohol-products. During the audit, tax officials detected alcohol beverages of a well-known trademark with the excise tax stamps, indicating rates that were not in the line. As a result, 10080 bottles with vodka were seized by the Main Directorate of the SFS in Kyiv.

It should be noted that, since January 2020, employees of the State tax service have been conducting planned measures in the retail networks aimed to detect turnover of excisable goods carried out with violation of the current legislation.

In total, since the beginning of the year, the tax officials have conducted 17 actual audits, during which they found violations and applied penalties totaling 538 thousand UAH. According to the established facts of illegal sale, the State tax service will additionally initiate the audit of enterprises producing alcohol beverages.

“Tax service intensifies the counteraction against the shadow market of alcohol products. This is just the beginning. And we will not stop until we’ll have order in this area. Those who carry out the sale of counterfeit goods should understand that we will not allow them to steal from the budget” – emphasized Chairman of the STS Serhii Verlanov.
