Amount of registered individuals – entrepreneurs continues to grow in Ukraine

As of the beginning of 2020, the number of registered individuals–entrepreneurs in Ukraine was 1885.9 thousand – this is 19.8 thousand more than at the beginning of 2019.
Particularly, the number of individuals–entrepreneurs on the simplified taxation system increased. In total, the number of “simplifiers” increased nearly by 93.8 thousand compared to the previous year. Thus, as of the 1stof January 2019, there were 1.39 million individuals on the simplified tax system, meanwhile as of the 1st of July 2019, their number decreased to 1.36 million taxpayers. However, as of the 1st of January 2020, there was an increase of up to 1.5 million entrepreneurs. Herewith, 596 thousand individuals chose Group III – this is 79 thousand more than as of the 1st of January 2019.
Accordingly, there is a positive tendency in the growth of budget revenues from the single tax. Taxpayers paid 24.95 billion UAH of the single tax in 2019 – this is 25.5% more than in 2018.
“These figures indicate a revival of micro-business activity on the simplified taxation system and, accordingly, the increase of single tax revenues. Tax service will continue to improve quality of the tax servicing, including the extension of list and quality of electronic services” – stated Chairman of the STS Serhii Verlanov.
As follows there is a plan to provide an opportunity for individuals–entrepreneurs – single tax payers to submit an application for the use of simplified taxation system, to apply for an extract from the register of single tax payers and to obtain an extract from the register of single tax payers by means of the information and telecommunication system.
