Tax specialists will explain importance of formal employment to the employers

Representatives of the State Labor Service of Ukraine jointly with the tax specialists will conduct enhanced explanatory work with business entities involved in the trade, temporary accommodation and catering in accordance with the instruction of the Prime Minister of Ukraine. During such events, employers will get information about the inadmissibility of admission of employees to work without registration of employment relations.

Explanatory work is aimed at increasing the responsibility of employers to enforce the labor law and identify those who use unregistered hired labor.  

Business entities will be able to arrange registration of employment for all employees voluntarily to comply with applicable law after such explanatory visits.

At the same time, please note that employees of the controlling bodies will carry out audits of the mentioned business entities regarding compliance with the labor legislation after the explanatory measures. If violations will be found, the employers will have to pay significant amounts of penalties for such violations prescribed the law.

It should be reminded that official employment is a protection of citizen’s social interests, guarantee for social benefits and pensions. In addition, unofficial employment reduces the state budget revenues and therefore the possibility of financing state social programs.
