We need to develop the economy and taxation system without changing the “simplified” taxation system in its essence – Serhii Verlanov

It is necessary to strengthen control over risky operations and effectively counteract such negative phenomenon as “gray” import in order to develop the state economy and taxation system. Instead, the simplified taxation system does not require changes in its essence. This was stated by Chairman of the State tax service of Ukraine Serhii Verlanov on the air of program “Skladni pitannya”, 24 Channel.

This is precisely what the legislative changes on application of the RCO are aimed at - changes that should stimulate business to work “in the white” to un-shadow the economy. Innovations in application of the RCO should first and foremost ensure equal competitive conditions on the market and prevent the uncontrolled turnover of particularly risky groups of products, such as excisable goods, compound household appliances, medicines, etc.

“Our task is to introduce the newest RCO for all business in Ukraine, for already existing business models. I have not seen any opponent of this initiative. At present, we already have 400.000 cash registers and all the businesses that use them, including and small businesses that, for example, sell excisable goods, support these initiatives” – stated Serhii Verlanov.

Chairman of the STS also expressed support for the initiative to introduce a two-year moratorium on audits of individuals-entrepreneurs of all categories, except for “risky” ones.

“We need to develop our economy and taxation system and go forward, of course, not changing the “simplified” taxation system in its essence but adding control over the perimeter of the state economy” – emphasized Serhii Verlanov.
