The STS ensured a smooth transition to the IBAN standards

From the 1st of October 2019, transition of the State Tax Service of Ukraine to the IBAN international standards has occurred without any failure in filling the state and local budgets. All funds paid by the taxpayers were credited to the budget accounts opened according to requirements of the IBAN standard.
More than 340.000 budget accounts are serviced by the STS bodies. Smooth transition to the new budget format has enabled the taxpayers to fulfill all their tax obligations in the normal manner, avoiding erroneous charges and unnecessary budget refunds.
Mass explanatory tax outreach work for the taxpayers was conducted in order to avoid misunderstandings. Announcements about the new budget account details were posted on the STS web portal and subsites of the STS territorial bodies, in mass media and the Taxpayer service centers.
Structural units of the STS, which perform the functions of administering taxes, collecting payments and paying off the debt, were informed about the changes in order to ensure the uninterrupted work.
