Serhii Verlanov: business got the opportunity to use software registrars of calculated operations

Bills of laws on registrars of calculated operations with registration numbers 1053-1 and 1073 that were adopted last week by Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine make some fundamental changes to the system of tax administration and application of registrars of calculated operations. Majority of innovations will become valid at the end of 2020 - 2021.

This was reported by the STS Chairman Serhii Verlanov during the briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

“These laws allowed the use of software registrars of calculated operations it means “RCO on a smartphone or other device”. Accustomed cash registers that are used by businesses today can also be used at the request of the entity. However, at the same time, we are opening up the possibility to use free software of the RCO.” – emphasized Serhii Verlanov.

He noted that as of today the experiment that involves 8 companies was started by the Ministry of Finance.

“The fact that all entrepreneurs will be required to buy registrars of calculated operations is a myth. Entrepreneurs will have an alternative to use the government-provided software for free.” – emphasized the Chairman.

Moreover, provision of such free of charge software is a legal norm. Subsequently, it is envisaged that the controlling authority is obliged to provide the software and maintain it in a good technical condition.

Serhii Verlanov also mentioned that at present the check fiscalization that is taking place in the classic cash register, will take place on the fiscal server of the STS for the software of RCO according to legislative changes.

“Access to this service will be completely open. Besides the free software provided by the STS, programmers and companies will be able to develop their own software for business use. It is possible to make an analogy with electronic reporting programs. At present there are several vendors of this product that provide business-friendly, free or paid services” – emphasized Serhii Verlanov.

It will be possible to use the software of RCO six months after validity of the Law 1053-1.
