Return erroneously or overpaid funds online via the Electronic cabinet

Taxpayers can apply for a refunding of erroneously or excessively paid amounts of monetary obligations and penalties electronically – without visiting the Tax Service.

To do this, it is needed to use the Electronic cabinet, which can be accessed at https://cabinet.tax.gov.ua or via the State Tax Service’s web portal.

Log in to private part of the Electronic cabinet is carried out after the user passes online electronic identification using a qualified electronic signature obtained from any Qualified Provider of Electronic Trust Services, through the Integrated Electronic Identification System – id.gov.ua (MobileID and BankID), using Diia.Pidpys or a "cloud" qualified electronic signature.

To create application for a refunding in private part of the Electronic cabinet, it is needed to go to the "Reporting" section, select appropriate period and form type "F (J)13 Requests". Next, it is needed to select electronic application form:

- F13020ХХ – for individuals;

- J13020ХХ – for legal entities.

Application should include necessary data regarding erroneously or excessively paid amounts, sign it with electronic signature and send it to territorial body of the State Tax Service at the administration place of relevant payment.

Important: number of payment dates specified in application must correspond to the number of payment documents for which overpayments or erroneous payments occurred. If necessary, it is possible to add or delete required number of lines in the application form.

It is necessary to attach copies of payment documents in the electronic form to the application. To do this, in the "Annexes" section, select appropriate option and upload documents of the established format.

Before submitting application, the payer has opportunity to check status of settlements with the budget and receive a corresponding certificate. To do this, it is necessary to send a request for certificate on settlements status of taxes, levies, payments and single contribution through the Electronic cabinet using form J/F13002ХХ.
