Processing industry is a leader in paying taxes to the budget

Processing industry enterprises have been leading in paying taxes to the budget since the beginning of year. 18.1% of the total collection was paid according to results of January – April 2026. This was informed by acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnaukh on the Facebook page.  

Another 16.5% was provided by whole and retail sales, and motor vehicle repair enterprises.

Share of public administration and defense is 12.3%, financial and insurance activities – 9.3%.

“Stability of Ukraine is primarily about our people. Who, despite constant shelling, go to work. It is about our business, enterprises that do not stop, continue to work, produce, pay taxes” – she noted.

Compared to the same period last year, the following sectors showed the highest payment dynamics:

- processing industry – enterprises in sector increased payments by 21.6 billion UAH (+19.3%),

- public administration and defense – by 14.4 billion UAH (+18.8%),

- whole and retail sales; repair of motor vehicles – by 10.5 billion UAH (+9.3%),

- supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning – by 6.3 billion UAH (+15.3 %).

“Behind these figures is faith in Ukraine, colossal work of millions of people and thousands of business decisions to continue working despite all the challenges. Our task is to ensure that every conscientious taxpayer can always count on the high-quality and effective communication with the tax authorities, modern services without bureaucracy” – emphasized acting Head of the State Tax Service.
